How I work

  1. Understand the people

I enjoy observing people and learning about their problems with products, and I put the design back in front of them early.

  2. Have a reason for every choice

By now it’s almost second nature. I don’t make a design decision unless I can already see the reason behind it.

  3. Know which feedback to take

Usability testing has turned well-reasoned decisions of mine upside down and shown me problems I never saw coming. Knowing which feedback to act on, and when to stand by a decision, is a skill I keep working on.

  4. Be cleverly lazy

I’m proudly lazy about repetitive work, so I keep finding faster ways through it, like libraries I spot on LinkedIn and X. It frees my time for the thinking and the craft, without cutting corners.
